Montgomery’s Case Count 3/30 & Testing Center Info

Health Department Update March 30, 2020
RE: COVID-19 Case Counts and Testing Updates

As of March 30, 2020, 1:00 pm, there have been a total of 14 reported positive cases in Montgomery Township. As testing continues to ramp up in the State, we anticipate this number to increase. We continue to stress the importance of washing hands, maintaining social distancing, and staying home, especially when sick.

For those who are concerned that they may have symptoms of COVID-19, below is some information on statewide testing sites. The State has introduced dedicated testing times for Medical Providers and First Responders.

Testing for Medical Providers and First Responders:
Beginning this Saturday April 4th, and all Saturdays moving forward, the Monmouth County State-run COVID-19 site (PNC Bank Arts Center) will be dedicated to collecting ONLY samples from symptomatic health care workers and symptomatic first responders (Law enforcement, Firefighters, EMT’s). The site will collect a maximum of 250 specimens per day.

Testing for the General Public:
The two locations below are available for any symptomatic New Jersey resident. Beginning Sunday, March 29th, an alternate covid19 testing schedule has been implemented for a maximum capacity of 500 specimen collections per day. This alternating schedule will be as follows:

  1. Bergen County Community College, 400 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ

Operating Days: Tuesday 3/31, Thursday 4/2 & Friday 4/3

  1. PNC Bank Arts Center, 116 Garden State Parkway, Holmdel, NJ

Operating Days: Monday 3/30, Wednesday 4/1

Please call your doctor if you are sick and wish to be tested, so they may guide you. The State  is maintaining a list of public testing centers on the State’s COVID-19 Info Hub. Some sites are only available for residents of a particular area, but updates are expected as new centers open.  Please see State list at:

Private drive-thru testing for symptomatic people may be available through Central Jersey Urgent Care.  If it is not available at one testing site, check their other locations at bottom of their page. Visit for more information. (This for informational purposes only, not an endorsement by Montgomery Township).
