You should self-isolate if you are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough and shortness of breath. Staying home is important. Do not go to work, school, or other public places. Have enough supplies for 14 days.
A contact is defined by the CDC as “being within about 6 feet (2 meters) of a COVID-19 case for a prolonged period of time;close contact can occur while caring for, living with, visiting, or sharing a health care waiting area or room with a COVID-19 case”
“having direct contact with infectious secretions of a COVID-19 case (e.g., being coughed on)”
The Health Department recommends that contacts of a COVID 19 patient practice self Quarantine/Monitoring.
A contact of a contact would be a person who has encountered a contact with no symptoms.
There are NO restrictions on contacts of a contact other than to practice social distancing, wash hands often and avoid touching your face.
