V. Rec N Crew Camp, MontgomeryTogether.us Youth & Business Showcases, COVID-19 Cases

Virtual Rec N Crew Camp & Other Area Camps (in-person & virtual)

Although we cannot hold our outdoor Rec N Crew Camp, we still want to give our campers something to look forward to and to have FUN! Virtual Rec N Crew will run from 7/6 – 7/31 and will give at least one activity each weekday for your camper to take part in. We have created a private camp Facebook group that parents may post pictures and comments in for their campers. If you are not a Facebook user the activities and directions will be emailed to you!  We can’t wait to see all of your smiling and creative faces!

Registration is $15 per camper.  Register at: http://register.communitypass.net/Montgomery  Each camper who registers by 7/10 will receive a T-shirt!

Daily themes for camp are : Make something Monday, Teamwork Tuesday, Wacky Wednesday, Throwback Thursday and Fantastic Friday. For more information, call (609) 466-3023.

For those seeking in-person and other summer camp opportunities, see list of area camps from Somerset County Tourism: https://visitsomersetnj.org/covid-camp/

MontgomeryTogether.us Celebrates Our Talented Youth

Montgomery Township municipality and schools’ new COVID-19 community website, MontgomeryTogether.us, has added new material highlighting some amazing youth talent in our community.

Check out the School Showcase at:

The above School Showcase page includes great content such as: Journey: The 2020 MHS Digital Literary Magazine, MHS Music Dept.’s Virtual Coffeehouse, and MHS & Middle Schools’ Virtual Art Extravaganza.

On the Community Showcase page there is also a Virtual Quilt Project by the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). The quilt is a compilation of different pieces of artwork, videos, and dances that showcase what living in Montgomery means to students and residents. (See below.)

The purpose of MontgomeryTogether.us is to help our community grow in strength and unity, despite this challenging time. The website includes recommended local resources, virtual community events, and more, including sections: Staying Connected, How to Help, Finding Help, Latest Info, Schools, and Business Community.
